Vintage 1950S Desk Lamp Eames Stilnovo Modernist 1960SYou are bidding on an original 1950s desk lamp. The lampshade is made of sheet metal lacquered black with a texturised finish, it has been lacquered white on the inside for light reflection. There is a brushed copper cone plaecd on top of the lampshade houging the bulb casing. The tsem is made of chrome with a flex design allowing for adjustment.
The heavy base is made of cast iron lacquered black with a texturised finish. The original switch is placed on the base. The lamp is in good condition, apart from a few marks on hte black lacquer work and some marks on the white lacquer work inside the lampshade. It is in full working order and takes one edison screw (screwfit) bulb. It has a uk plug. As with all vintage electrical equipment, it is advisable to have it checked by a qualified electrician. Please note we specialise in selling vintage items. Although we strive to give as accurate a description as possible, patina and age-related wear are to be expected. However, we will always indicate any noticeable defects. This great lamp has a strong stilnovo influence and all the elegance of good 50s design.
